Glenn W. Ervin, age 72 of Columbus, OH died surrounded by family on March 18, 2025 after an extended illness. He was born in Ravenna, OH to Margaret and Charles Ervin. He is survived by his wife, Susan, son Gregory, sister Joyce Taylor, nieces, nephews and cousins who will cherish his memory. He grew up in Kent and then after marrying Susan in 1980, he lived in North Canton and South Carolina before settling in Columbus. Glenn served in the United States Army as a medic and paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Unit. He went on to make his career with the USPS as a letter carrier. He volunteered with Columbus Metro Parks, Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and the Veteran’s Hospital. Glenn, his wife and son shared a love of travel. He also enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble with friends and family, watching OSU sports and F1 racing and listening to music. He was devoted to his family and friends. He was outgoing, kind, extremely generous and he had a wonderful sense of humor and wit. Glenn will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
