Eric Michels Obituary
Eric D. Michels, 48, of Newark, Ohio, passed away on February 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Eric was born in 1977 in Columbus, Ohio, to Saundra and Randall Michels. He was a proud graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and a longtime employee of Sam’s Club, where he dedicated many years of hard work and built lasting friendships.
Eric’s greatest joy in life was his children, Carly, Kamryn, and Christopher. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Saundra and Randall; his beloved children; and his sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Tony.
He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his unfiltered sense of humor, and the laughter he brought to those around him.
Eric will be laid to rest at Jersey Township Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
