On Thursday, February 12, 2026, Glenn Ford entered into eternal rest at the age of 68. Glenn was born June 23, 1957 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Willie George Ford, Sr. and Flowerzella Franklin Ford and was the fifth of his seven siblings. He was the father of Glenda Nellon.

Growing up, Glenn attended Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Algiers where the late Rev. Linden H. Keiffer was the pastor. He grew up in Algiers, attended McDonogh 32 Elementary School and

L. B. Landry Jr. Sr. High School.

Glenn worked off shore for a few years. He also worked at Belle Chasse State School in the cafeteria as a helper. He held various other jobs such as restaurant and florist helper.

Glenn leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter – Glenda Nellon of Dallas, Tx., two grandsons - Akili Buthelezi and Traydives Williams, Jr. also of Dallas, Tx., three sisters – Betty Charles Broussard (late Bobby), Carolyn Ford Fields (Edward) of Harvey, La. and Shirley Mae Ford of New Orleans, La. He also leaves an aunt – Mandy Franklin Forbes of New Orleans, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends also tenants Hartford House

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Willie G. Ford, Sr. and Flowerzella Franklin Ford and three brothers, Rev. Melvin Franklin Ford, Sr., J.C. Ford, Sr. and Willie George Ford, Jr.

Relatives, Friends, Pastors, Officers and members of Asbury United Methodist Church, Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Sterling Ultimate Care and Hartford House Resident are invited to attend the Memorial services at St. Matthew United Methodist Church on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Emily Carroll officiating.
