Glenn Lehnen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grandstrand Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Lindstrom on Apr. 21, 2025.
April 19th 2025 we lost Glenn H. Lehnen. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a retired firefighter in Chisago City, serving his community for 28 years, along with being the Commander for the American Legion Post 272 for many years. He worked at the Chisago Lakes Achievement Center for over 36 years.
If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Glenn, you know that he would always put his family and friends first, always lending a hand, a smile, a handshake and always a hug. He was a strong, but gentle person, looking to help whenever he could. Whenever he was about town and everywhere he would go, if he would run into someone he knew, he would offer a handshake, some small talk, and of course a little wise crack, giving you a hard time. He loved to make everyone smile.
Glenn always made sure the love of his life had everything she needed and what she wanted. He was always helping her and always by her side through thick and thin. But not only was he great to his wife, but also to all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Glenn was always there for everyone know matter what. He was the kindest, sweetest, most gentle soul you could have met.
Glenn is survived by his wife Nanetta; his children Jeff (Davida) Lehnen, Lisa Betancourt, Ellie Blumer, Melvin Blumer and Marvin Blumer; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and his last living brother Mike (Alice) Lehnen. He is preceded in death by his and four brothers and sisters.
This loss will be felt throughout his family, friends and the community.
