Glenn Douglas Phillips, age 61, of Salvisa, KY, husband of Virginia Arrasmith Phillips, died Sunday, September 21, 2025 at home in Salvisa. Glenn was born December 3, 1963 in Harrodsburg, KY. He is the son of the late Doug and Barbara (Robinson) Phillips.

He was a retired member of the Lexington Fire Department, Mercer Co. Fire Protection District Chief three different terms, was a longtime member of the Salvisa Fire Dept., and had Earned his Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Care from Easter Kentucky University. Glenn had been a public servant and first responder for over four decades as an EMT, Firefighter, and as an Instructor. He had also served as the Mercer Co. Emergency Management Director from 2011 until 2018.

Survivors include: his wife, Virginia (Arrasmith) Phillips, Salvisa; one daughter, Jessica (Devon) Booker of Harrodsburg, KY; two sisters, Rhonda Burkhead and Lynne Phillips, both of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother, Neil Phillips of Harrodsburg, KY; four grandchildren, Cheyanna Collins Garza, Dominick & Isaac Garza, and Wyatt Bowles. Glenn was also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services, with Firefighter Honor Guard, will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Salvisa Baptist Church Christian Life Center, 138 Kirkwood Road, Salvisa, KY. Fellow firefighters will officiate. Burial with Bell & Last Call will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg on Saturday.

Visitation will be Friday, September 26th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Salvisa Baptist Church CLC.

Pallbearers: Chris Goodlett, David Goodlett, Lewis Sexton, Stacy Day, Bill Gasper, William McFerron, Nick Mullins and Jacob Smith. Honorary bearers are: Dan Cordray, Joe Kinney, Tim May, Chuck Bugg, Ric Maxfield, and Pearl Hamlin.
