Danny Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ransdell Funeral Chapel - Harrodsburg on Feb. 2, 2026.
Milton Daniel "Danny" Jackson went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 31, 2026, after a long journey with cancer. Danny was born on the 7th day of January 1958, son of the late Walter and Gladys (Gritton) Jackson. Danny is survived by his wife Pamela, who he took as his bride in June 2016, brother Wayne (Connie) Jackson, daughter Amber (Brandon) Jackson, bonus children Kelsey (Tyler) Stout-Prouty, and Thair (Holly) Stout along with grandchildren Jude, Brenson, Finn, Elara, June and Mira, and nephews Miles (Sarah) and Corey (Emily) Jackson and Zacharia (Emily) Chipps; and several great nieces and nephews. Danny is further survived by his mother-in-law Sandra Chipps who he lovingly called Aunt Bee and brother-in-law Steven (Kristie) Chipps.

Danny was a dedicated employee at Corning in Harrodsburg from which he retired in the fall of 2025 after 25 years of service. Danny had a servant's heart and often provided food & clothing for those in need. Not only did Danny willing give his money and abilities to help others, but he also gave his time so those around him knew how much he cared. Danny enjoyed martial arts, fishing, Keno, shopping at Crazy John's Discount Store, cooking, spending time driving the backroads in the Mitia, almost all sports and watching TV, especially UK basketball. In his younger years, Danny was an accomplished athlete in basketball andbaseball and later traveled the country with the Travel League Softball Circuit. Danny enjoyed traveling to Pam's home state of West Virginia and visiting family and friends. He fell in love with Uncle Jim and Grumpywhile visiting and always enjoyed spending time with them.

Danny beamed with pride over Jude who made him "Granddan" and was thankful for every birthday he spent with him. Danny enjoyed Tuesdays with Brenson and Finn getting frozen yogurt or watching a movie, field trips with Elara and looked forward to the best hugs from Junebug. He is proud of all his grandchildren and knows they will grow up to be productive and unique adults, and his legacy will continue through all of them. His latest granddaughter, Mira will never remember him,but family will share memories with her so that it seems she's always known herGranddan. Family became more important to him over the years and looked forward to holidays, birthdays, or just any reason to spend time with those he loved.Danny will be missed by many, including his pets at home: his 3 dogs Sadie Mae, Winston, and Nutmeg and his cat, Buddy named after his grandfather. He would always say, "Everyone needs a "Buddy" in their life".

Danny had rededicated his life to the Lord in 2025 and was a faithful member of Lancaster First Assembly, where he enjoyed cooking for Celebrate Recovery and various other church activities. He loved going to church and learned so much about the Lord from Pastor Wendell Johnson. He would share the link so others could watch the live services from LFA with his friends. He loved Jesus and wanted to make Jesus happy! His favorite hymn was Amazing Grace. His deepest concern was for the lost and wanted everyone to make it to Heaven.

In memory of Danny, family is asking all visitors who come to pay their respects to proudly wear their UK attire, hats, shirts, etc….

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Tues., Feb. 10, 2026, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY, by his brother-in-law, Steven Chipps. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM, Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, and after 9 AM, Tues., Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

We were blessed to have Danny and Pam as our neighbors. He always showed care and looked out for all of us. He will be missed in our "little neighborhood". Much love to the family.

I enjoyed being around Danny, we both had in interest in rare coins, he advised buying silver and gold, oh how I wished that I listened to him, he always had a good attitude and a smile on his face.
