John Wayne Harris Sr.

John Wayne Harris, Sr., was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan and loved his family wrestling nights. His family was his everything. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved his naps. He retired from Keeneland Racetrack where he worked for 30+ years. He was the husband of Pamela "Louie" Harris for 54 years. He passed away on January 31st, 2026, in Lexington Kentucky. He was born November 5th, 1951, to the late Iva Pauline Harris and Garrett C "Tut" Harris.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Larry Dean Harris and Gene Herrin. Other than his wife, he is survived by: his sister, Jelema A. Cummins (husband Eddie); children, Wavne Harris, Jr. (wife Kim) and Samantha Williamson (husband Harley); four grandchildren, Stephen Manning (wife Melinda), Audra Manning, Jacob Williamson and James Williamson; and one great-granddaughter, Abbie Manning.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, February 9th, 2026, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery at 500 North Mainstreet in Nicholasville Ky.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Harris, Harley Williamson, Jacob Williamson, Matthew Harris, Stephen Manning and Morgan Maracin.
