Glenn B. Poteat, age 96 of Cleveland, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 26, 2025, surrounded by his family. Having honorably served in the US Army, Glenn was a carpenter by trade.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Kinder Poteat and son, Breck Poteat.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Kyker Poteat; daughter, Mitzi (Hoyt) Samples; grandchildren, Lochlin (Megan) Samples and Kelsey (Charles) Googe and three great grandchildren, Isla Samples, Bear Samples, and Walker Googe.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 29, 2025, from noon to 2 PM at Poole Funeral Home, 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd, Cleveland. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with his Pastor Rev. Stan Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Glenn’s memory to Candy’s Creek Baptist Church.
