Glenn Roth

Glenn Roth, age 76, died after a brief illness. Originally from Connecticut, he moved to Elizabeth City in 2014 with Sharon, his wife and best friend of 52 years, and quickly came to love his community and life in the area.

He was a devoted husband and father. He overcame a devastating stroke at age 50 and was able to adapt to many of his favorite hobbies, such as woodworking and home improvements, continuing those until he passed. He loved music and started drumming again in his last year of life.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife until her passing. Most recently, he cherished the memories made on a cruise to Alaska with his daughter, Kelly, and son-in-law, Stéphane. He spent many evenings working steadily on jigsaw puzzles.

He had a special place in his heart for animals, and his rescued cat was his loyal companion until the end. He was lifelong race fan, both NASCAR and Formula 1, and had many lively debates with his daughter and son-in-law about who to support in Formula 1.

Glenn will be missed by his family and the many people he touched over the years.
