Obituary for Glenn
August 13, 1975 – September 22, 2025
The world just got a lot quieter - and Glenn would absolutely hate that.
Glenn, 50, of Towanda, KS, passed away on September 22, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and enough stories to last several lifetimes (and most of them not safe for polite company). Born on August 13, 1975, Glenn made it his mission to avoid anything even remotely resembling "boring."
A proud business owner, Glenn built and ran his own pool company, proving that you can mix cannonballs with construction. He helped countless families turn their backyards into personal paradises - and usually left them laughing in the process. He was equal parts contractor, comedian, and chaos coordinator.
Glenn despised silence. If there wasn't music, conversation, or some wildly inappropriate joke being told, he considered it a wasted moment. He was the life of every party, the loudest person in any room (even when whispering), and a "colorful speaker" - which is a polite way of saying he could swear creatively in two languages and invent a few new ones if needed.
He had a passion for Texas Hold 'Em and firmly believed he could read your poker face better than you could read the directions on the card deck. He raced R.C. cars like he was training for the Daytona 500, loved animals like they were people (and, frankly, preferred them to most people), and could cook a meal that made you wonder if you should propose to him.
More than anything, Glenn loved his family. Fiercely. Loudly. Unconditionally. He was the kind of step-dad, husband, brother, and friend who'd show up in a storm, on a flat tire, with a toolbox in one hand and a joke in the other.
Glenn leaves behind Glenn's Kansas family: Jennifer (soulmate), Cassidy & Dontae, Vinnie & Jasmine (Vinman & Jazzy), Tony, Kim, Lucia, & Elena, Debbie & Duane, Margie & Jimmy, Dean, and Marty & Mike, Dash, Kiki, Chavo, & Morty. Family of origin: Elizabeth & Walter Sr. (deceased parents), siblings: Walter Jr., John, & Nancy, deceased siblings: Roger, Patrick, & Gayle, nieces & nephews: Theresa, Laura, Nicole (Roger's daughter), Nicole (Nancy's daughter), Heidi, Jessica, Brianna, Ashlin, Tracy, Alexa, Avah, Christian, Caleb, Zach, & Justin (deceased), sister-in-law: Joyce, all of whom are wondering how on earth they're going to fill the silence now.
A celebration of Glenn's unforgettable life will be held at Carlson Funeral Home on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Dress casually, bring your best stories - Glenn wouldn't have it any other way.
In lieu of flowers, crank up the music, hug your people, and for the love of Glenn, never sit in silence.
