Glenn Wallgren Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Erickson Funeral Home, Ltd. - Argyle on Nov. 3, 2025.
Glenn Wallgren, age 59, of Argyle, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at his home. He was born August 22, 1966, in Waukegan, IL, the son of Glenn and Shirley (Kaiser) Wallgren. Glenn graduated from Aurora High School in Colorado and attended the College of Southern Nevada before eventually making his home in Wisconsin. He worked for many years at Grede Foundry in Browntown, where he took great pride in his work and the friendships he made along the way.

Glenn was a man who could fix just about anything-lawn mowers, trucks, video arcade machines-you name it. He loved fishing, especially magnet fishing, and spent countless hours tinkering in his garage. He was creative and curious, always working on his "Ant Art," a passion he was truly proud of.

He enjoyed the simple things in life: family gatherings, campfires, cookouts, and spending time with friends. Glenn had a big heart and a way of making friends everywhere he went. His dog, Buddy #2, was never far from his side and was his loyal companion through everything.

Glenn is survived by his mother: Shirley in Oakdale, MN. children: Markus Wallgren, Christopher Wallgren, and Joseph Wallgren; his grandchildren: Arrianna Wallgren, Selena Henning, Kenidea Rayne and Kadince Hope Wallgren, Kielinn, Kamrin, and Koltin Gerber, and Tatin Wallgren; the love of his life, Laurie Hanson; his siblings: David (Sandy) Wallgren, Eric Wallgren, Darla (Mike) Dawson, Stephanie Evitts-Starr, and Michelle (Tony) Hatcher; daughter-in-law: Ardeana Wallgren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, his son: Josh Wallgren and a special niece, Sammy Jo along with several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Cornerstone Lutheran Church (1540 Old Highway 81, Argyle) with Steve Fischer officiating. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. at Cornerstone Lutheran Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is assisting the family.
