Glenna Ann Garrison passed from this earthly plane on October 29th, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1934, in Pampa Texas to William H. Tatro and Glenna B. Wheat.

Her dad was an oil rigger, so they called several places home: Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois, and even California for a time when her first husband was in the Navy.

Glenna was married to the late George R. Shoemaker, who passed away at 27 due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident, and they had two children: the late Royce A Kessle (Kevin Kessle) and Stephen R Shoemaker (Debbie). She later married William Garrison, with whom she had one child: Kevin E. Garrison (Theresa).

Glenna had eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. All their photos have been prominently on display in her home attesting to her pride in them all.

Glenna wore many hats in the workplace. Insurance, factory, waitress, bartender, Walmart, but retirement was probably her favorite.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed sewing (which she was quite accomplished) and baking for family gatherings. A member of First Christian Church in Sikeston, she carried strong convictions about her faith and didn't abide by blurred lines.

She loved a good fire in her fireplace. So much so that she had been accused of cranking up the air conditioner in the summer just so she could enjoy a cozy fire in the off season.

She was a hugger, which was her way of showing how much she loved you. Those hugs and what they represented will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved her.

She believed that this is not an ending, but a new beginning. She has gone home where pain does not exist and God's love is known, not just hoped for.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 at Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
