Glenna Gean Saunders Jackson, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Glenna was born in West Virginia to the late Eugene and Glenna Saunders. She was a homemaker for many years. She owned and operated Jackson Mobile Home Park. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family, flowers, and collecting chickens. She spent most of her free time taking care of her cats.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Jackson; sons, Jon Russell Jackson and Jamie Quinn Jackson; and her brothers, David and Jerry Saunders.
Glenna is survived by her daughters, Greta Jackson Stephens and husband, David Dwayne; Abra Jackson Tucker and fiancé, Fred T. Thornton; sisters, Karen Saunders, Tina Pyle; brothers, Mike and Kevin Saunders; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
