Glennis Gael “Glenn” Kerns, 77, born in Belpre, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026.
Glenn proudly served his country for more than two decades in the United States military. He first served two years in the United States Army before continuing his career in the United States Navy as a Gunner’s Mate. After 20 years of dedicated service in the Navy, he retired in 1989, completing a total of 22 years of military service.
Above all else, Glenn loved his sons deeply and was proud of the men they became.
He is survived by his two sons, Patrick Ryan Kerns and James Preston Kerns. Patrick and his wife, Vanessa, have two children, Michael and Emily. Preston shares a life with his partner, Caitlan LeMatty.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan Ray Kerns and Nora Paige (Hill) Kerns, and by his siblings, Phyllis McKinnison, Gerald Kerns, Karen Frum, and Dennis Kerns.
