Danielle Shain Dodson

Danielle Shain Dodson aka Baby Shain, Munchkin, Lil' Bit, Shameless, but most importantly Mommy, was born October 7th, 1998, in South Carolina. Shain spent her last evening on Earth at home adoring her two children, who were fathered by Justin Browning, her brilliant son Jason Andrew Browning (9) and beautiful daughter Carter Elizabeth Browning (5), making valentines.

The youngest child of Laura and Peter Brancato and little sister of Brittany Lewis (Cody Tarallo), Jaxon (9), Willa (5), and James Patrick Heinz 2nd, fought her last battle with addiction and passed away suddenly on February 12th, 2026, at just 27 years of age. Her death is a heartbreaking reminder of how real and relentless this disease can be.

Shain was a spitfire with bold energy and a rebellious streak. She was outspoken, never shy about being herself, and brought life into any room. She lived fully and intensely, loving hard and feeling deeply. Her presence was impossible to ignore, and her laugh and spirit left a mark on everyone who knew her.

She is deeply missed and will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be remembered for her strength, her sensitivity, her fire, and the love she had for her children.

Those who loved Shain are encouraged to honor her by loving harder, judging less, and checking on one another.

A Celebration of Life drop-in at Moore Park, 1501 East View Drive, Irmo, SC 29003, Pavilion 2, near the Children's Garden and pond, will be held this Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, between the hours of 3 and 5 PM.
