Gloria Joyce Brewer

Gloria Joyce Baker Brewer, age 84, born January 18, 1938, in Big Sandy, TN, passed away peacefully surround by her family on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. She was the daughter of Fountain Baker and Ruth French Baker. She was one of ten children.
She married Lowell Brewer on August 27, 1955, and together they had two children Billy Brewer (Kim Jones) and Denise Brewer Lampley (Bodie Lampley).
In addition to her children, Joyce was survived by her siblings, Linda Tokes, Margie Clendinin, and Sonny Baker, grandchildren, Angela Brewer Wilburn (Chad Wilburn) of Fairview, TN, Tim Brewer (Amy Elkin Brewer) of Virginia Beach, VA, Alan Brewer (Natosha Harpe Brewer) of Fairview, TN, Ben Lampley (Megan Skelton Lampley) of Lyles, TN, and Kim Lampley Stiles (Adam Stiles) of Lyles, TN.
She was also blessed with thirteen great grandchildren, Abbie, Chloe, Kinzie, and Luke Lampley, Westin and Wyatt Stiles, Caleb and Colby Wilburn, Madison and Makayla Brewer, Savannah, Olivia, and Brianna Brewer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Greg Lampley, and siblings, Nathaniel Baker, Ruby Dinwiddie, Peggy Dreis, Mary Patterson, Jeff Baker, and Billy Jo Baker.
Joyce loved her family deeply. She loved to crack jokes, listening to bluegrass, she loved her garden, and she loved to cook for her family. She lived a full life and would do anything for anyone. Her siblings called her Sister, her grandchildren called her Nanny, and her great grands called her Nanny Brewer. She was very much loved and she will be greatly missed.
Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.
