Gloria "Mercer" Bryant

Gloria (Mercer) Bryant, 90, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at her home.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was dependable and fiercely loyal, and her love for her family ran deep. There was no length she would not go for the people she loved. Her devotion to Jesus was the foundation of her life and was reflected in her loyalty, kindness, and selfless love for others. She will be deeply missed; the world lost a wonderful person.

A native of Roseville, Kentucky, Gloria spent many years doing clerical work, including a receptionist for Rohm & Haas. She was a devoted member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Bryant; her parents, Dollye and Luke Mercer; and her sister, Glenda Hatfield.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Douglas Bryant; her grandchildren, Justin Bryant (Laura) and Rachel Bryant (Colton); and her great-grandchildren, Ariella and Leighla Trimble.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
