Gloria L Cajina

Gloria L. Cajina, 89 of Pinellas Park, FL passed away on Saturday November 22nd, 2025. Gloria was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico and spent time living in Newark, NJ, Indiana, Hoboken, NJ and Bloomfield, NJ before moving to Pinellas Park, FL 30 years ago. Gloria graduated from Essex County College and went on to work as a radiologist for UMDNJ in Newark. She was an active member of St. Agustine Church in Newark and enjoyed cooking, watching movies and listening to music. She was also a very talented singer, dancer, poetry writer and painter. She was an amazing woman who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Gloria was predeceased by her parents Liborio Aponte and Leonor Sanchez.

She is survived by her loving husband William Cajina of 31 years, son Earl Garcia and wife Marcia of Union, NJ, daughters Gloria Garcia-Valdes and husband Alan of Milrift, PA, Lydia Garcia of Verona, NJ, and Bianca Sutlovich and husband Michael of Manahawkin, NJ, grandchildren Christopher, Thomas, Cristina and Jessica and great-grandchildren Jazmina, Eli, Aiden and Julian.

Visitation will be held on Monday December 1st, 2025 from 10am until her Funeral Service at 11:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name in honor of all past, present and future Veterans to the American Legion Post 493 420 Radio Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
