Gloria Davis Obituary
Saturday January 17, 2026 Gloria Davis, age 70, entered into the presence of our Lord.
In July 2023, Gloria was diagnosed with cancer but she did not allow that to deter her Faith. Throughout her cancer journey she made everyone aware it would not slow her down! She pushed through and continued to live her life to the fullest. With every prognosis she made every doctor aware that God was the Greatest Physician. Her Faith was in Him.
Gloria was a loving wife. Her and her husband spent all of their time together. Whether they were shopping, working or traveling to find the next buffet, you rarely saw one without the other.
A loving Mother who stood by her children through thick and thin. They were her whole world. And then came the Grandbabies! A kid at heart she fit right in with those babies! Whatever they wanted they got!
Gloria was dedicated to not one Church but two. A member of Sanctuary of Praise for over 50 years and a member of Church of Pentecost for 16 years. She was a true servant of the Kingdom.
Awaiting her arrival in Heaven were her mother Linda Briggs, her father JF Williams, her sisters Lola Jean Williams and Debra Bonnette.
Those left to cherish her memory, her husband Paul Davis, her son and his wife Joey and Stacy Gorum, daughter Carmen Gorum Coutee, her grandchildren Emma Beebe, Kailynn Trisler, Weston, Presley and Roman Gorum, her sisters Janice Myers (James), Patricia Hebert (Robert) Sheryl Williams, her brothers Fred Williams, Ernest Williams, Curtis Williams (Melissa), step children and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Joey Gorum, Jeremy Mathews, Austin Mathews, Matt Robinson, Lightle Wooley and Robert Hebert. Honorary Pallbearers will be Weston Gorum, Roman Gorum, Braden Mathews, Lavaughn Cupp, Allen Williams
Viewing will be from 5 - 8pm at Church of Pentecost in Ball, La on Tuesday January 20 and from 9am until services at 10am on Wednesday. With Bishop Lonnie Weidner officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me"
