Gloria Dawn Fedson

Gloria Fedson, age 92, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at St. Mark’s Assisted Living on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Gloria Dawn Reuter was born on November 20, 1932, in Nevada Township, Minnesota, to Raymond and Jeanette (Nelson) Reuter. Gloria attended country grade school and graduated from Lyle High School in 1950. On September 2, 1950, she married her high school sweetheart, Neil Fedson, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lyle, Minnesota. The couple moved to Austin, where they remained until their deaths.

She worked at the Austin Clinic for over 25 years until her retirement in the late 1980’s. After retirement Gloria and Neil loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. She was an avid golfer, loved baseball, and followed the Minnesota Twins her entire life. She loved the family she and Neil created.

Gloria is survived by her children, Janet (Phil) Christiansen of Oronoco, Julie (Bill) Arnold of Owatonna, and James (Sheri) Fedson of Mankato; grandchildren, James Christiansen, Jenna Umbaugh, Andrea Arnold, Emily Pitts, Sara Steiger, and Amanda Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Audrey Christiansen, Alex Christiansen, Grant Umbaugh, Gavin Umbaugh, Evalyn Umbaugh, William Pitts, Miles Steiger, Rayna Steiger, Sullivan Schmidt, and Rosemary Schmidt; and brothers, Ronald (Marilyn) Reuter, Carlton (Ramona) Reuter, Roger (Judy) Reuter, and Jerry (Jackie) Reuter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jeanette; and husband, Neil in 2013.

A private family service will be held. Interment will be in Six Mile Grove Cemetery, Lyle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Assisted Living, Mayo Hospice, or donor’s choice. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
