Gloria A. Ferguson

Gloria A Ferguson, age 93 years, formerly of Lomira, WI was called to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at St Francis Home, Fond du Lac, WI.
Gloria was born on August 24, 1929 in Fond du Lac to Roman & Adelheid (Bartelt) Sterr. She was united in marriage to David Ferguson in 1949. She graduated from Lomira High School in 1947. Her working career included Star Canning Company, Giddings & Lewis, Bauer Soil Service and Sam Manis & Sons. She enjoyed making drapes for many area homes and also was an avid seamstress. She especially loved making clothes for her boys and grandchildren. Her hobbies included bowling, playing sheepshead, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and in her later years, books on tape. She enjoyed traveling, but most of all she enjoyed her time at the cottage on Little Green Lake. She was a devoted mother, supporting her four sons in their sporting events and music endeavors. She always looked forward to visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren and you never had to wonder what Gloria was thinking because she would always tell you.
Those Gloria leaves behind to cherish her memory include her sons, Steven, Frederick (Mary), Timothy "Beezer" (Margaret), and Michael (Edith), and sister-in-law, Virginia Sterr. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas and Ronald Sterr; daughter-in-law, Ellen Ferguson; sister-in-law, Donna Sterr; and brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law, Francis and Gloria Ferguson & John and Dorothy Cole.
Gloria's family will greet relatives and friends at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 350 Main Street, Lomira on Sunday, April 23 at 3pm until 6pm with a memorial service immediately following the visitation. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers the family will direct memorial gifts to St John's Lutheran Church of Lomira and SSM Health Hospice Services in Fond du Lac.
