Gloria Evans Garrett

Mrs. Gloria Jean Evans Garrett, age 91, of LaGrange, passed away on August 18, 2023. Mrs. Garrett was born on September 14, 1931 in Winnfield, Louisiana to the late Rev. Ernest Evans and Mabel Anderson Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William Harold Garrett.
Survivors include her children, Steve and Marie Garrett of Newnan, Teri Deadwyler (the late Jammy Deadwyler) of Covington, Ron and Donna Garrett of LaGrange and Bill and Lia Garrett of Bethlehem, Georgia; grandchildren, Stephen and Monica Garrett, Zachary Garrett, Matthew Garrett, Heather and Tyler Sams, Erin Deadwyler, Brittany Garrett, John and Ellison Beasley, Ben Beasley, Brooke and Rob Davies and Emily and Danny Machado; great-grandchildren, Rachael Grady and Julia Garrett, Abby Kate Bond, Kylee Beth Davies, Raelyn and James Sams and Ezra Machado; brother, Glen and Kay Evans; niece and nephew, Glenda Berthelot and Bobby Evans and their families.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the First Baptist on the Square with Dr. Pual Baxter and Rev. Paul Blair officiating. Interment will follow at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Manchester. Family will receive friends in the Sanctuary on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 am.
