Gloria M. Gilchrest

Gloria M. (Landry) Gilchrest, age 67, a resident of Lowell, died on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus. She was the beloved wife of David B. Gilchrest.

She was born on March 4, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Rita (Tremblay) and Frederick Landry. A hobby of Gloria’s was knitting, which landed her one of her first jobs at Joann Fabrics.

For the past 45 years, Gloria worked at various nursing homes and for the last two years for the city of Lowell school district as a dietary aide.

In addition to her husband David, Gloria is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Toomajanian and her husband, Jason Machado; her grandchildren, Russell, Tyler, Annabell and Jason, Jr.; her siblings, Raymond Landry and Janet Landry; as well as many other extended family and friends.

She was the sister of the late, Shirley Teixeira, Pauline Valkavitch and Frederick Landry, Jr.

Per Gloria’s wishes, all services were held privately.
