Gloria Andrade Jackson was born on December 2, 1956, in San Diego, California, to her parents Alfonso Andrade and Romalda Calderon. Gloria was the sixth of ten siblings.

At the age of seven, Gloria and her family moved from Tijuana, Mexico, to Ventura, California. She began her education at Washington Elementary School, attended Blackstock Junior High, and proudly graduated from Channel Islands High School in 1976. Gloria continued her academic journey at Ventura College, where she earned her Associate's degree. She later completed a Bachelor's degree in Business from California State University, Northridge. Driven by a lifelong love of learning, Gloria returned to school later in life to study Child and Family Development at California State University Channel Islands.

Throughout her dedicated career, Gloria served in various capacities, including positions at Point Mugu Naval Base, the County of Ventura, and most recently with the Oxnard Union High School District, from which she retired on June 16, 2023. Gloria met the love of her life, Lawrence Jackson, at Ventura College in 1979. After five years in a loving relationship, they married in 1984 and went on to share 46 wonderful years together. They raised two children, Vanessa Myers and Jarrett Jackson, who were the pride and joy of their lives.

Gloria was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three cherished grandchildren: Emma Monet Myers, Theodore Jamison Myers, and
Jeremiah Theodore Myers. She also leaves behind her son-in-law, Theodore Myers, and her son Jarrett's girlfriend, Nathalie. Gloria also survived by her eight loving siblings and a large extended family of cousins and friends who will remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Gloria's life was filled with compassion, dedication, and joy. Her presence will be
deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
