Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Gloria Lanclos Hargrave, 95, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Father David Hebert, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will officiate the ceremony. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery immediately following the service.
Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and will resume on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Gloria is survived by two daughters, Mary Hargrave Womack (Bryan), and June Hargrave Ainsworth (Larry); three sons, Lyle Hargrave, Wade Hargrave (Rebecca), and Dale Hargrave (Roxane); ten grandchildren, Lance Hargrave, Carrie Hargrave Gerard, Taylor Hargrave, Dianne Hiltz, Brad Womack, Brooke Womack, Chelsea Hargrave, Ryan Hargrave, Barrett Ainsworth, and Lauren Ainsworth Stone; and nine great-grandchildren, Tyler Hargrave, Lindsey Hargrave McClain, Emily Gerard, Eli Gerard, Natalie Hiltz, Natalie Womack, Nicholas Womack, Makenzie Stone, and Jackson Stone.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Nolan Hargrave, Jr.; her parents, Evia and Clay Lanclos; three sisters, Bertha Lanclos Blanchet, Hazel Lanclos Jefcoat, and Mary Jane “Jean” Lanclos Chiasson; four brothers, Howard Lanclos, Harold Lanclos, Herbert Lanclos, and Clifton “Blanc” Lanclos; and one daughter-in-law, Brenda Hargrave.
Gloria enjoyed staying busy with her children and grandchildren. Her focus was always her kids. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and one of the founding families. Her love of God and family always shining through. In her free time she enjoyed her weekly bouree group, having coffee with neighbors, and was an avid bowler until the age of 89.
Pallbearers are Lance Hargrave, Taylor Hargrave, Brad Womack, Ryan Hargrave, Barrett Ainsworth, Tyler Hargrave, Eli Gerard, and Nicholas Womack. Honorary pallbearer is Jackson Stone.
