Gloria J. Lawrence

In the early morning hours of Tuesday September 27, 2022 Gloria J. Lawrence nee Pencek, aged 79 of Burr Ridge, IL passed away peacefully and entered the presence of her Lord. She is now reunited with the love of her life the late Lance Lawrence. Her husband of 36 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin K and Minnie K (nee Twardowski) Pencek.
Survived by her niece Elizabeth Pencek Medendorp (James Medendorp) and nephews Leonard Pencek Jr, Russell Pencek (Althea), James Pencek (Carole), Michael Pencek (Jodi); Kim Ringbloom Morris (Steve Morris); Lisa Ringbloom Howard, loving great-aunt of many great-nieces and great-nephews; kind sister of Leonard Pencek Sr. (June) and the late Howard Pencek (Lorene).
Gloria spent a majority of her career as an executive administrative assistant to the VP of Labor Relations at National Can Corporation Chicago, IL. Her career skills stayed with her for her lifetime as she is known for using short-hand and steno-pads. Besides her successful career, Gloria was very strong in her faith and enjoyed reading her bible. She also enjoyed shopping, dancing with her late husband Lance, taking care of her late mother and dogs.
Services for Gloria will be on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 with visitation from 10AM-11AM and service at 11AM at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien, IL. Gloria will be laid to rest at Bethania Cemetery, Justice, IL.
