John G. Gergits

John G. Gergits, preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol; loving father of Sandra (David) Kazenko and John (Lisa) Gergits; cherished grandfather of Amanda (Jacob) Cline, John Gergits, Samuel Kazenko, and Cynthia Gergits; great – grandfather of Lincoln, Grant, Freya, and Hallie; dearest brother of the late Leo Gergits, Edward Gergits, the late Thomas Gergits, Joseph Gergits, and the late Rosemary Piecyk. John was a resident at the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno for more than a year. Memorial visitation Saturday September 13th from 11:00 a.m. until time of Memorial service 12:30 p.m. at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien. Entombment and military honors will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. On Friday October 3rd at 2:30 p.m.
