Mark DeSantis

Mark P. DeSantis, age 78, passed away February 9, 2026. Beloved husband of Kathleen, nee Katrenak; proud parrot daddy of Caesar, Maya, and the late Ralph; loving father of Kimberly Ann DeSantis and Shawn Marc DeSantis; fond brother of Kent (Leigh) DeSantis and Reva (Michael) Schmidt; also many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents Harry DeSantis and Joe Ann, nee Warner. Mark worked as a consultant for Milwaukee Railroad for over 20 years and IBM for many years, travelling throughout the world. He was a member of the Chicago Bird Collision Monitors where he spent many mornings patrolling the streets of downtown Chicago for any birds that hit buildings during their migration. He also responded to many calls from the suburbs to help injured birds including owls and hawks. He had many friends at Mayslake Village in Oak Brook and was an avid motorcyclist.
