In Loving Memory of Gloria (Boo) Lopez

February 3, 1966 – November 8, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria (Boo) Lopez, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, who departed this life on November 8, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on February 3, 1966, Gloria lived an exceptional life full of unconditional love, angelic compassion, and an unwavering love for her family. Known affectionately as “Boo” to those closest to her, Gloria will be remembered for her enormous heart, her angelic spirit, and the way God used her to touch the lives of all those who came to know her in this life. Gloria is survived by her brothers and sisters: Danny Lopez (Kathy), Linda Saldaña(Lico), Luis Lopez Jr.(Araceli), Debra Ann Tellez, Richard Lopez, and Mary Helen Tellez (Hector) who adored her and loved her with an unimaginable love. She was the proud aunt of 21 nieces and nephews, each of whom brought immense joy to her life and whom she loved enormously. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Luis and Helen Lopez and her brothers David Lopez and John Espinoza.

“That angels dwell among us not in flashy robes but in simplistic, yet elegant fashion, not with wings but with arms that embrace with a passionate love that renews the spirit, and not wearing halos but faces reflecting God’s very presence itself – I know for I knew one – her name was Gloria.”

– Dr. Richard Lopez

Gloria’s legacy will speak to her phenomenal ability to love and embrace every person she met throughout her life, as well as her childlike innocence that empowered her sense of wonder in a life imbued with the timeless magic of a world filled with Disney, Santa Claus, the Wizard of Oz and the vibrant music of Selena and Little Joe and La Familia. Her memory will be a sacred one in which she played with decks of cards, enjoyed an occasional Big Mac and fries, and loved her red cheese enchiladas. There will never be another Boo to cherish and love. She will remain dwelling in our hearts and reminding us that her spirit will live forever within our hearts. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Gloria’s life was a blessing, her memory a gift, and her love a guiding light that will never fade, but glow brighter with each passing day.

Rest in peace, Boo. You will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure. We love you always and in all ways!
