Gloria "Catherine" Maldonado

GLORIA "CATHERINE" MALDONADO, 71, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at home. She was born in the Bronx, NY and settled in Jackson Twp. in 1962.

Catherine was a graduate of Jackson Memorial High School in 1972. She received her Associate's degree from Ocean County College in 1999. She was employed by Stop and Shop, Howell Twp., NJ retiring in 2019.

Catherine was predeceased by her parents, Rafael and Marilyn Maldonado; her brother, Kevin Maldonado; her sister, Irene Firestone; and by her brother-in-law, Frank Long. She is survived by her brother, Vincent Maldonado and his wife, Linda; her sisters, Teresa Long and Caroline Lopez and her husband Michael; her 9 nieces and nephews; and by her 9 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM with her funeral service at 9:30 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Ave., Toms River, NJ.
