JOHN MAURO, 67, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, Hamilton, NJ. He was born in Brooklyn, NY.

He was employed as an electrician for IBEW Local 3, New York, NY for 35 years prior to his retirement.

John was a communicant of The Church of St. Veronica, Howell Twp., NJ.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Nancy Mauro; his sister, Anna Vaccarino; his brother, Jack Lopopolo; and by his nephew, Adam Desposito. John is survived by his wife, Celeste Mauro; his sons, John Mauro and his wife, Maria of Waco, TX, Anthony Mauro of Howell Twp and Justin Mauro and his wife, Megan of Bayville, NJ; his daughter, Brielle Mauro of Jackson Twp.; and by his grandchildren, Kayla Mauro, Mandy Mauro, Aubrey Mauro, Amelia Mauro, Abigail Mauro, Alessia Mauro and Luca Mauro.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 AM at The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Rt. 9, Howell, NJ. A private cremation will follow. For directions, further information and to send condolence messages to the family, please select the appropriate tab.
