Robert Mauro Obituary
Robert V. Mauro “Butchie”, age 84, passed away on February 19, 2026.
Beloved son of the late David Mauro and Mammie (née Renzi), Robert was the loving brother of the late Louise Lattino. He is survived by his devoted nieces and nephews: Joyce Capuano, David (Belva) Lattino, and Debra (Joseph) Zaidan, along with many loving great-nieces and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.
A true South Philadelphia neighborhood man, Butchie spent his entire life in the 6th and Wharton Streets community. He was proud of his roots and the lifelong friendships he formed there. Family meant everything to him, and he shared an especially close bond with his parents and his beloved sister Louise — whom he is now reunited with in eternal rest.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass Wednesday, February 25th at 10:00 AM at Annunciation B.V.M. Church, 10th and Dickinson Streets, Philadelphia. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Robert will be remembered for his loyalty to family, his neighborhood pride, and the quiet presence he maintained throughout his life.
