Stephen Oughton

STEPHEN OUGHTON, 72, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at home. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ and has resided in Howell Twp. for 46 years.

Stephen was employed as a loader operator for Clayton's for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2019.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Margret Oughton; and by his brother, Bobby Oughton. Stephen is survived by his wife of 53 years, Theresa Oughton; his son, Stephen Oughton and his wife, Klaudia of Jackson Twp., NJ; his daughter, Tammy Mazzatto of FL; and by his grandchildren, Kayla, Alisianna, Dylan, Stella and Skyla.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 PM with his funeral service at 3:15 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Stephen's memory to Gentiva Hospice, 242 Old New Brunswick Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854, and would be greatly appreciated.
