Guest Book
A graveside service celebrating the life of Gloria J. McCutcheon will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Bethel Cemetery in the Bethel Community, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brett Raab. The family will receive family and friends at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street Mansfield, Louisiana from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Gloria was born May 1, 1934, to Ollie and Onie Strong in Longstreet, Louisiana and entered rest on Monday, October 20, 2025 at her home in Lufkin, Texas.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Ollie Preston Strong and Onie Lee Brown Strong; husband, Royce Wendell McCutcheon; son, John Aubrey McCutcheon; daughter, Deana McCutcheon; siblings, Almeda Walters, Richard Strong, and Florence Attaway; and niece, Karen McCart.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Melinda Helton (Craig) and Alicia “Lisa” Hale; grandchildren, Gregory Baxter (Saira), Cody Baxter and special friend (Lois Wu), Bradley Hale (Mandy), and Leeann Hale; great-grandchildren, Taylor Hale and Kelly Hale; sister, Louise Collingsworth; Gloria's special friend, John Sledge; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Hale, Cody Baxter, Taylor Hale, John Sledge, Craig Helton, Gregory Baxter, and Vernon Attaway. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Leeann Hale.
