Gloria Minie, 94, of Stratford, Connecticut, passed away Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024
Gloria was born April 4th, 1930, to Belinda Jane Lofgren and Alfred Leon Sr. in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Gloria attended Madison Elementary School and Central High School in Bridgeport, where she excelled in Mathematics, Graduating in 1948. She worked for the Town of Stratford, CT, in the Department of Finance as Chief Clerk, Assistant Finance Director, And later Finance Director for five years. She became Assistant Town Manager and then Town Manager until her retirement in 1984. Gloria was a competitive golfer at the Bethany Country Club women's league and a competitive bowler for several leagues at Circle Lanes and Nutmeg Lanes in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Gloria is predeceased by her mother, Belinda Jane Lofgren, her father, Alfred Leon Sr, her brother, Alfred Minie Jr, and her sister, Elenor May.
She will be remembered by many friends and acquaintances locally.
Gloria's Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 12th, at 11 a.m., directly at Our Lady of Grace Church in Stratford. Services will continue to Saint Michael's Cemetery in Stratford. For Travel directions or to sign Gloria's online guest register, please visit www.LeskoFuneralHome.com.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Grace Church or Stratford Animal Shelter.

My memories of Gloria are of a lovely woman who worked in the town hall and always had some treat for me when I visited my Dad at his police station.As years passed,we recognized the great contributions she made to the town.Rest in peace,Gloria.
