Gloria Ann Peterson

Gloria (Glo) Peterson was born January 2nd in Spokane to Bruno and Viola Kensok. She was the 2nd of four children and was raised here in Spokane. She graduated from Marycliff High School, an all girls school in Spokane, WA.
While studying at Eastern Washington University she met the love of her life, Larry Peterson. They married in February 1973. They lived at various fish hatcheries in Washington State, eventually settling in Mossyrock in 1983. Together they raised 4 daughters and eventually returned to Spokane at the end of Larrys career with the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
She had a great love for making rosaries and sharing religious books, holy cards, and medals through her non profit, Marys Treasures. She was very involved with her Catholic Church community and was a supporting member of the following organizations: Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, Confraternity of Mary Queen of All Hearts, Promoter of the Association of the Mircaulous Medal, Our Ladys Rosary Makers, The Holy Souls Sodality, Friends of Mercy, Circle of Light, 13th of the Month Club, Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception, Pious Union of St. Joseph, Dominican Laity, St Pius V Guild, and the US Grace Force.
Gloria never met a stranger, and loved to be called Glo by her friends and acquaintances. She passed away on June 1st, 2025 after a 2.5 year battle with cancer. She is survived by her four daughters Michelle (Chris) Miller; Marie (Kevin) Kirchner, Jennifer (Rankin) Peterson, and Kimberly Moran; six grandchildren, and two sisters Joan Milano and Debby Stallcop.
A funeral mass will be held for Gloria on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, and will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2 p.m.
