Gloria M, Rorro, age 85, of Hawthorne, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was raised in Silver Spring MD and then resided in Glen Rock NJ for 53 years before moving to Hawthorne. She was a graduate of University of Maryland with a degree in Education. She worked for the County of Bergen Family Guidance as an intake worker for many years. Gloria was a woman of strong faith and a devote parishioner of St. Catharine's Church. She served as a Eucharist Minister, and volunteered countless hours with the Pre-Cana, Marriage Encounter, CYO retreats, and Hospital visitation, Gloria loved to host parties, play bridge, travel, NYC Broadway, host holiday dinners, but her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Joseph Rorro. Loving mom of Jeannine Pragdat and husband Rowan, Joseph S. Rorro, Jr., Robert Rorro and wife Teresa and Nancy Keenan, Cherished grandmother of Joseph III, Emily, Livia, John, Lucas, Liam, Danielle, Matthew, Jimmy, Tommy and Lucy. Adored daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Pratesi. Dear sister to Elaine Castle. She is survived by many nieces and nephews that meant the world to her. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday February 18, 2024, 2-6 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,
Wyckoff, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday February 19, 2024, 10 am at St Catharine RC Church,905 South Maple Ave Glen Rock. Interment will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery in Ho Ho Kus. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gloria may be made to
