Gloria Ruffridge Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by MeadowLawn Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery on Mar. 11, 2025.
Gloria Jean Ruffridge (Garrison), born on July 18, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Elmer Garrison and Edna Dora Garrison (Romine), passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 83.
Gloria was a woman who lived life on her own terms. Known for her adventurist nature and love for traveling. Her feisty spirit and unapologetic honesty, she was never one to hold back her thoughts or opinions. She had a quick wit. She enjoyed Intellectual challenges. Gloria had a big heart and a creative soul. She was an artist at heart, spending her time painting, making jewelry, and crafting, all of which she shared with those around her. She shared her knowledge and time enjoying friends and family.
An avid reader and a lover of games, Gloria enjoyed playing Scrabble and Role-Playing video games finding joy in the little things. She had a special fondness for watching her favorite TV shows, Gold Rush, Hawaii 5-0, and CSI often sharing her thoughts on the latest episode with those around her.
She leaves behind a loving family: her daughter, Lola Heim (Peggy Bersig) Ex-Husband (Michael Milczarski); grandchildren, Michele Cokeley (Heim), Cathy Milczarski, Nicole Lawrence (Milczarski) (Scott Lawrence), and John Milczarski (Melissa Milczarski); great-grandchildren, Stephanie Heim, Illiana Mercado, Natalie Mercado, Angelique Mercado, and Michael Dean Milczarski; as well as great-great-grandchildren, Mateo, and Yamiah. She is also survived by extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Edna; her brothers, Bernie and Eugene Garrison; and her beloved husband, Bob Ruffridge.
Though Gloria's voice may have been loud and clear, her love, creativity, and spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Rest in peace, Gloria-you made the world a more vibrant place, and we are grateful for the time we shared with you.
