With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Gloria Jean Senn (Ward/Baker), on October 14, 2025, at the age of 69. Gloria passed away peacefully at her home in Lexington, SC after a debilitating battle with cancer.

Born on August 23, 1958, in South Carolina to the late Sadie Faye Denny and Joseph Ward, Gloria was a shining light in our family from the very beginning. She grew up in West Columbia, SC and attended Lexington High School.

Gloria was a dedicated caregiver, for several individuals throughout the years. She found immense joy in reading and gardening. Her love for reading was evident in everything she did, and she was always ready to share the latest book she'd read enthusiastically with others.

More than her accomplishments, Gloria will be remembered for her infectious laugh, heart of gold, and sense of humor. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved. We will cherish the countless memories of sharing cups of coffee while laughing over stories of our shared childhoods.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Sadie Denny, father, Joseph Ward, stepfather, Edward E. Baker Sr., and sister, Susan Baker.

She is survived by her sisters, Connie Shannon, Phoenix Fitzwater, brothers, Edward and Steven Baker, niece, Shannon Dantzler, and lifelong friend, Zack Drake - all will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

A graveside service for family and friends to celebrate Gloria's life will be held on November 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington, SC 29072. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their favorite stories and memories.
