Mrs. Gloria Wood Taylor, age 75, beloved wife of 51 years to the Rev. George Ray Taylor, Jr., entered into rest on Friday January 2, 2026 at her home in Warrenville, SC.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons, Christopher G. (Lisa) Taylor, Ray (Kim) Taylor; daughters, Michelle (Russ) Landrum, Malissa Kaye (Charlie) Freeman; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mary Wood; brothers, Almon Benjamin "A.B." Wood, Larry Wood, Rev. Leo Wood, Rev. Randy Wood; and sisters, Marguerite Jones, Judy Kinkle and Annette Wood.
Mrs. Taylor worked for many years for the Graniteville Company, but retired from SRS as a Lab Tech. She and her husband pastored Faith Bible Chapel in Warrenville, SC and was in ministry for 50 years together. Mrs. Taylor could do anything when it came to working for the Lord. She could sing, play, teach and pray. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
A funeral service honoring her life will be held on Monday January 5, 2026 at 2pm in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Sellers and Bishop Phillip Napier officiating. The interment will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Sunday evening January 4, 2026 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The family will greet friends on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
