Gloria Temple Obituary
Funeral services for Gloria Jean Temple, 78, will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Gloria was born June 3, 1945, in Holly Ridge, Louisiana to James F. Ellis and Lucille Franks and passed away May 10, 2024, in Shreveport.
Gloria was a resident of Keithville. She retired from AT&T and worked on the elections for the past several years where she made many friends. She donated platelets up until she was put on blood thinners and could no longer do so.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lucille Franks; son, Joey Thomas; grandson, Jonathan; sister, Mary Jones; brothers, Roy Simmons and James W. Ellis. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sharon Hendricks, Michelle Temple, Vanessa Powell; nine grandchildren; 12-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Arthur Ellis.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Christus Highland and Heritage Manor West for the wonderful care and compassion given to our mother.
Gloria will be greatly missed by her family, but we will forever love and cherish her memory.
