Gloria Ann Vagnini

Gloria A. (Ciardelli) Vagnini, 87, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday October 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 64 years, of Raymond D. Vagnini. Born in La Spezia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Lino and Guilia (Amadori) Ciardelli.
Gloria was a registered nurse for 25 years before retiring. She was a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing and has been a Greenville resident since 1965. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Ray, she was the mother of Lisa N. Orabona of Greenville, Lori A. Conti and her husband Michael of Greenville and Raymond L.C. Vagnini and his wife Cindy of Cumberland. She was the grandmother of Ashley Perez (Juan), Kenneth Orabona, Jr. (Ashley), Diana Calcagni (Nicholas), Jonathan Conti (Esther), Michael Conti, Nicholas Vagnini, Zachary Vagnini and the late Nicole M. Orabona; great-grandmother of Leah Gauthier-Vagnini and Conrad Calcagni.
Her funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 will be appreciated.
