Gloria B. Zielinski

Gloria passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the Rachel Sovereign Home at the age of 95. The daughter of the late Eugene and Philamon (Bourcier) Bacon was born December 16, 1929 in Bay City, Michigan. Gloria enjoyed watching the Red Wings, knitting, crocheting, baking, playing bingo, going to the casino with her daughters, spending time in Arizona during the winter and watching her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren grow up. Gloria also enjoyed her bagel partner goldendoodle, Josie.

Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Hessler and Crystal Zielinski; grandchildren, Jolene (Jason) Carmona, Janelle (Mark) Cheney, Marissa (Cory) Strong, Todd Daeschlein, Glenn (Ashley) Daeschlein and Venesa Zielinski; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, especially, Emmalyn, Henrik and Larkyn Strong. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her, husband, Edward Joseph Zielinski; son, Stephen Zielinski; daughter, Bernadine (Dick) Gradowski; son-in-law, Jerry Hessler; sister, Beverly (Phil) Timm; grandchildren, Jason Hessler and Jesse Daeschlein and her great great grandchild, Bryar Blunt.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marissa Strong, also known as her “FAVORITE” for all the loving care and help that she gave to her grandma all her life. To Rachel Sovereign Home caregivers for all their extraordinary care they provided. Also, to Patty for crowning her the “Queen” she has always been.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell with Committal following at St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Rachel Sovereign Home.
