Wendy S. Beach, born on January 31, 1965, in Bay City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, at the University of Michigan Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Wendy’s life was marked by her commitment to the community and passionate engagement with her interests and loved ones.

A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Wendy earned a Bachelor's Degree which laid the foundation for her dedicated career in Environmental Services. Throughout her professional journey, she was known not just for her work ethic but also for her warm and friendly demeanor, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and the communities she served.

Wendy was united in marriage to Mark T. Beach in 1996 and they shared many wonderful years of travel, camping and laughter before his death in 2009.

Wendy had a multitude of interests; she found joy in reading, fishing, and most significantly, in the interactions she cherished with people. Her heart resonated with love for family and friends, and she treasured the moments they spent together, creating memories that will be held dear by all who knew her.

Wendy is survived by her mother, Karen Schmidt; step-mother, Debbie (Behrend) Schoettke and father, George (Helen) Reid; brothers, Brad Schmidt and Todd Reid, sisters, Beth (Jason) Holben, Kristi Reid, Katie Reid, Kelli Reid, Brenda Carter and Tricia Campbell; special friends who were like sisters, Kelly Schoettke Lesh and Nicole Schoettke Cooper.. As well as her beloved nephew, Skyler Schmidt; niece, Mecciah; great nephew, Lincoln Schmidt, great niece, Noella Schmidt; and many other nieces and nephews. Wendy is also survived by her longtime partner, Richard Dill. She was preceded in death by her father, William Schmidt; husband, Mark T. Beach and her sister, Jane Moline.

Wendy S. Beach will be remembered not only for her contributions to her profession but also for her innate ability to connect with others, her kindness, and the warmth she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

At the request of Wendy, Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Gephart Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
