Glory Bradbury Page Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Ventura on Jul. 16, 2024.
Glory (Glo) Ann Bradbury Page, 77, of Ventura, California, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loving family, at her home of 40 years in Ventura on July 13, 2024. She was born on November 16, 1946 in Los Angeles to George and Fern Bradbury.
Glory married the love of her life, David, on November 21, 1982 at The Music Center in Los Angeles. A little more than a year later, she realized her dream of becoming a mother, when Danny was born in 1984, and Sarah just two years later in 1986. She is survived by David, Danny, and Sarah, her daughter-in-law Lina, her sister, Judy, and many extended adoring family and friends.
Glory graduated from Palos Verdes High School, later attending UCLA and graduating with a B. A. degree in history. She worked as a teacher in the Los Angeles area for 14 years, before moving to Ventura. After taking time off from teaching to devote her life to being a full-time mom, she taught at Cabrillo Middle School and eventually became an administrator, first as an assistant principal and then as the Cabrillo principal for more than a decade. After retiring from her Cabrillo principalship, her services as a substitute administrator called her back into duty, with stints at Pierpont Elementary School, Balboa Middle School, Buena High School, and others.
Following her passing, many Cabrillo colleagues, sharing with the Page family, referred to her as both a "force" and a "mentor." This unique blend of power and strength with compassion and care is the core of what made her such a unique and special woman. She had the gifted ability to make people feel not only deeply appreciated and cared for, but empowered. She built a life of helping colleagues attain the highest levels of professionalism and helping students realize their dreams.
A woman of many talents, Glory was a gifted singer who spent her 20s signing in venues across Los Angeles, even spurning an offer to join a band and tour full-time. She loved sewing and completed numerous remarkable counted-cross stitch projects for family and friends. She had a passion for travel, which was born in the 1970s when she and her teacher friends would take middle school students throughout Europe. These groups had the rare opportunity to enter Cold War European countries and become live witnesses to history, crossing the Berlin wall at Checkpoint Charlie and visiting Moscow behind the Iron Curtain.
Family and friends are invited to memorial services to be officiated by Rabbi Lisa Hochberg-Miller, Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11am in downtown Ventura at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, CA 93001. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, CaringBridge.org, and the Braille Institute are appreciated.

Glory made this ornament for my daughter´s first Christmas in 1994. I think of Glory every time I put it on the tree. She was such a sweet, kind and caring person.

Glory was our neighbor from 1986-1991, during which time our entire family grew to love her. When my mother became very ill, our family moved to Florida to provide close support. Glory made this ring jar as a going away gift to me. She knew I would miss my friends. I have thought of her warmth and generosity of spirit countless times throughout the years as I used my little ring jar. She was a remarkable person, and our family knows how sorely she will be missed. David, Danny, and Sara, know we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers with the fondest of memories as friends and old neighbors.
