Glynn W. James

Glynn W. James departed this life at his residence on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the age of 72. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Glynn was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School, and he was a retired personal care worker with Belle Chasse State School. Beloved father of Glynn (Lakeisha) James, Jr., Tammy (Tyronne) Morris, Krystal (Fred) Conerly, and the late Patrick James. Son of the late Patrick James, and Margie Knight James. Brother of Aldon James, Marian Steib, Marva Magee, and the late Oscar, Monroe, Patrick, Charles, and Godfrey James, Helen Crawford, Audrey Cooper, Margie Rose, and Eloise Myre, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Memorial Service at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1509 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Orin Grant, Sr. officiating.
