Goldene Tennant Obituary
She was born in Milan, Wisconsin but was raised in Zanesfield, Ohio where she attended school. It was there she met her husband, and they married right out of high school. Goldene worked as a beautician and owned and operated her own salon. She enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Live Oak Golf and Country Club in Fruitland. She was also a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona Park and the Red Hats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip L. Tennant, Sr., her parents, Lavern F. and Lillian M. Zell, and her sons, Marion l. (Bud) Tennant and Phillip L. Tennant, Jr., her brothers, Gordon Zell, Merlyn Zell, and Glendale Zell.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry L. Harrison, Carol A. (David) Luckey, and Jackie M. (Donald) Halbrook; Grandchildren, Eric (Angie) Harrison, Christa Harrison, Dee (Ben) Wilke, Pamela (Jon) Belanger, Gabe (Tiffany) Miller, Tammy (Steve) Marshek, Tara (John) Hancock, Amanda (Justin) Covert; Great Grandchildren, Brendon Harrison, Landon Harrison, Ryan (Abby) Harrison, Ryan and Lucas Miller, Britney Covert, Jared Covert, Zachary Covert, Allyssa Covert, Aiden Covert, Madison (Richard) Nason, Madison (Richard) Nason, T.J. (Brianna) Stewart, Brooke Hancock and Nathan Hancock; Great Great-Grandchildren, Baylor Stewart, Vivian Stewart and Willow Stewart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tennant will be held at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Crescent City and not at the cemetery due to inclement weather at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, December 29, 2024, with Brother Ricky Bybee officiating services.
In lieu of flowers her family request those who wish to make donations to Haven - Roberts Hospice Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Florida 32177.
