Goldie Inez Payne Goldie Inez Payne said goodbye to this world, to walk the streets of gold, on February 2, 2007 at her home in Coal City, following a long illness. Born April 20, 1919, in Boomer, WV. She was the daughter of the late Rexford and Ida Mae Burford. She was a member of the Open Bible Tabernacle, in Kincaid, WV. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, William E. Payne; two sisters; Dorothy Burford and Sarah Jefferies; two brothers Kyle Burford and Kenneth Burford. One precious grandson, Steven Johnson. She is survived by her children; Peggy Underwood and husband Roy, of Mount Nebo; Bill Payne and wife Patty of Page; Carol Johnson and husband Bob of Piney Flats, TN; Nancy Boone of Crab Orchard; David Payne and wife Donna of Deep Water; Robert Payne and wife Gloria of Fairdale; Karen Sturgill and husband Jim of Midway; Debbie Day and fianc� Joseph Stewart of Bristol, VA; Susan Bolen and husband Lacy of Coal City; half sister Janie Chayka of Oak Hill; step-sister Brenda Adkins of Oak Hill as well as 27 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, February 5, 2007 at 12:00 noon at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia, WV with Pastors Bill Prunest and Roger Tolliver to officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 9 PM at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
