Public viewing 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Davis Funeral Home – Bolivia, 1705 Southport Supply Road SE, Bolivia, NC 28422.
A celebration of Deacon Hewett's life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1229 Cedar Grove Road SW, Supply, NC 28462.
Interment will follow at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2100 Zion Hill Road, SE, Bolivia, NC 28422.
His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Rev. Lauretta Hewett of the home; children, Carlos Hewett (Queen) of Woodbridge, VA, Tonya James (Jonathan) of Cary, NC, Terrell Hewett (Kia) of Greenville, NC and Shaunette McLean of Greensboro, NC; siblings, Frances Newsome (Roger), George Hewett (Karen) and Priscilla Reaves (Martin) all of Bolivia, Herbert Hewett (Barbara) of Murfreesboro, NC and Deborah Johnson of Durham, NC, 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
