Gonzalo Camacho Obituary

Published by Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home South on Mar. 15, 2019.
Gonzalo Camacho age 60 of Austin, Texas passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019. He was born on Saturday, January 10, 1959 to Vicente and Juana Camacho in San Luis RC Sonora, Mexico. He was in the US Army from September 26, 1978 through September 24, 1982. Today we lost our beloved father, brother, grandpa and friend. He was a beautiful loving person who loved so much. He was always willing to help anybody in need. He always had joke and crazy/fun sense of humor. He fought hard to live, but he lost this battle with cancer. You will forever be in our hearts and we will forever remember you until we meet again in heaven. We are sad and hurt that you are no longer with us, but we rejoice because we know you are with Jesus. Gonzalo is survived by his two brothers; four sisters; daughter, Melissa Camacho (30); son, Albert Camacho (34); David Nuncio (who was like a son-in-law); five grandchildren, Makayla, Brianna, Reanna, Lilyana and Jacob. He is also survived by Olga Torres, his girlfriend that brought much joy and happiness to his life. Visitation 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress. With a Funeral Service to begin at 7:00 pm

I'm sorry to hear this news. My grandparents lived down the street on Zequil Drive. I used to hang out with Albert growing up. My condolences to the family.

Gonzo, you will truly be missed in my heart. You were like a father to me at work. You taught me a lot about life. I'm going to miss Good morning Lighthouse you would say every morning when you walked into the building also your singing and all your stories you would tell us. All I can say you were a great man who loved his children and all your grandchildren. May you Rest In Peace my good friend you will be missed.
